Enhanced Hiring Incentive

Enhanced Lateral Sign-On Bonus Criteria: 

  1. Has not worked for the City of Dixon within the last three (3) years.
  2. Currently employed as an active-duty, full-time peace officer.
  3. Possess an Intermediate POST training certificate or higher (Advanced preferred).

Hiring Bonus Terms & Conditions

Selected candidate(s) will be incentivized with a $30,000 hiring incentive, paid out throughout 30-months as indicated below.  In order to receive the incentive, selected candidate(s) must agree to the terms of the hiring bonus agreement which outlines receipt of payments and employees obligations. In the event that the employee resigns before the 30 months of service, all bonuses must be paid back to the City.

1. Upon hire: $5000

2. Upon six-months successful service: $5000

3. Upon twelve months of successful service: $5000

4. Upon completion of probation: $5000

5. Upon twenty-four months service: $5000

6. Upon thirty months of service: $5000
